About the Ethical Trade Forums

The Ethical Trade Forums are a collaborative initiative launched in 2015 with the aim of improving working conditions in the Spanish agri-food sector. They bring together key stakeholders from across the supply chain- from supermarkets to producers- to promote a model based on social, economic, and environmental sustainability.

Since their creation, the Ethical Trade Forums have worked to promote the well-being of workers and their families, fostering the professionalization of the sector, and developing practical tools to implement good labor and ethical practices.

In 2022, the Forums took a decisive step by establishing themselves as the Ethical Trade Forums Association (ETFA), strengthening their structure and expanding the participation of companies, cooperatives, and organizations in the sector. The Association acts as a facilitator of solutions to the most complex challenges facing the agri-food sector.

The main lines of action of the Ethical Trade Forums include:

  • Events that promote dialogue among stakeholders.
  • Training through seminars and specialized training.
  • Working groups that develop collaborative solutions.
  • Innovative projects such as Canal Foros and App Foros.

Thanks to their comprehensive and participatory approach, the Ethical Trade Forums have established themselves as an international benchmark in labor sustainability and ethical trade.
