On March 17, the most recent of the seminars organized by the Ethical Trade Forums took place, within the Training Plan for professionals from companies in the agricultural sector.
The seminar was attended by Alfonso Acacio Marcos, who from his role as coordinator of the Quirón Prevención technical team in Almería and his experience of more than twenty years as a professional specialist in Occupational Risk Prevention, detailed the challenges they face companies handling and packaging horticultural products in the application of the PRL regulations, the incidence of the main occupational diseases or the ways of optimizing prevention for the safety of workers.
In the second part of the seminar we have the collaboration of Teresa Macías Ortega, specialized in Applied Psychosociology and PRL Technique in Quirón Prevención. After beginning his intervention recalling the definition of health as “the state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not only the absence of conditions and diseases” (WHO, 1946), he detailed the main psychosocial risks, the analysis methods used to assess the risks and consequences that, for the health of the employees and for the performance of work, arise from not adopting the necessary preventive measures.
