After months of intense work, we are pleased to announce the launch of App Foros, a free mobile application that provides essential information on labor rights, legal requirements, and guidance on key issues for workers in the Spanish fruit and vegetable sector. Designed to especially support migrants, and those in vulnerable situations, App Foros seeks to facilitate access to knowledge on socio-labor conditions and offer resources to address common challenges.
We would like to give special thanks to the “Seasonal migrants and decent work” working group, which has developed the content of this application.
Inspired and localized within the successful Just Good Work platform, the content of App Foros is adapted to the reality of the agri-food sector in Spain, providing a complete and practical guide.
App Foros is structured in four main sections: “Looking for work in Spain”, “Working in Spain”, “Collective Bargaining Agreements”, and another section with organizations that can provide support to vulnerable workers. The topics covered range from legal and social aspects, to recommendations for those seeking employment and accommodation in the various fruit and vegetable harvesting campaigns.
Its functionalities include:
- Free and accessible offline: the information is available anywhere, even without an internet connection.
- Guaranteed anonymity and accessible in several languages (Spanish, English, Arabic).
- Audio format for those who need an alternative access to reading.
- Links to local and national organizations for additional help and advice.
