On November 24, 2022, the Ethical Trade Forums held the online seminar “Trafficking in human beings for labor exploitation in the agricultural field”, where there were the magnificent interventions carried out by Loida Muñoz on behalf of the international organization A21 and by Lieutenant Elena Colás Fuentes, member of the Technical Unit of the Judicial Police of the Criminal Analysis Group of Crimes against Persons, Human Trafficking Section.
On July 7 and with the aim of supporting and complementing the efforts being made in the fight against trafficking, the organization A21 made the presentation of the Anti-Trafficking Help Telephone (ACT Phone). This is a project that aims to offer help to potential victims and victims of trafficking, as well as to be a tool available to citizens to request and share information on the problem of human trafficking.
The ACT Phone is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. It offers simultaneous translation service into more than 200 languages and other complementary services, such as checking false job offers. All these services can be accessed from Spain or from other countries by calling 900 759 759, through email info@900759759.es or on the website www.900759759.es .
A21 is an international organization founded in 2008 that fights against human trafficking in all its forms. It has 19 offices in 14 countries around the world and works from a comprehensive strategy based on the three pillars of Education, Intervention and Recovery.
From ETFA we want to congratulate A21 and also collaborate in the diffusion of this important initiative, hoping that it will be useful for the prevention of trafficking in our sector.
