Capacity building

The Ethical Trade Forums offer capacity building opportunities aimed at individuals interested in ethical trade and sustainability in the agri-food sector. Their goal is to provide practical and enriching experiences that promote professional development and positive change within organizations.

The Capacity Building offer of the Ethical Trade Forums is divided into two formats:

  • Capacity building modules: In-person courses and practical workshops focused on key topics such as sustainability, supply chains, and social responsibility. Led by experts, they allow participants to acquire skills that are directly applicable to the workplace. The capacity building modules of the Ethical Trade Forums are designed to meet the needs of companies and professionals in the agri-food sector, offering practical and participatory content, preferably in-person, with flexible materials tailored to different profiles (employees, middle managers, and executives). The courses, which are eligible for funding through Fundae, include special discounts for companies associated with ETFA and can be selected from the existing catalogue or customized to meet specific needs. The capacity building offer is organized into two main areas —Social Scope and Skills— and is aimed at strengthening key competencies in ethical trade, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility.
  • Online seminars: Six virtual events per year, open to the entire sector, covering topics of business interest, featuring participation from leaders and professionals in the agri-food field. To view the annual seminar schedule, click here.
