In a World increasingly aware of the importance of social responsibility and sustainability, the Ethical Trade Forums Association (ETFA) proposes itself as a platform to be taken into account to promote ethical practices in the Fresh Food sector.

ETFA, with its 90 associate members to date, plays a significant role in the transformation of companies and thus in how consumers perceive their responsibility when choosing products and services.

Its members are committed to adhering to the ethical and sustainable principles identified by the association, taking responsibility for contributing to the well-being of society and the environment through their operations.

Today we celebrate and are grateful that Lidl España, a subsidiary of the German Lidl Stiftung, which has been operating in our country for more than 25 years, has adhered to the standards proposed by ETFA, becoming the first retailer located in Spain to join this project.

By taking these decisions, the food industry not only demonstrates that a responsible and ethical business model is possible, but also underlines the importance of collaboration between companies and organisations to promote it. It is a step in the right direction to create a future in which sustainability and ethics are fundamental pillars of our daily lives, a challenge that we invite anyone who wants to join us to take part in.
