We start the new year with renewed strength and with more enthusiasm than ever, holding multiple meetings to resume the projects developed by the Working Groups. The last meeting was held today by the Communications Group.
We started the year meeting with the coordinators from all the groups to share the projects they are working on and create synergies between them.
The working groups Grievance Mechanisms, Dialogue between employee and employer representatives, Labour Standard or Responsible Use of Temporary Work Agencies, have already begun their activities by holding some meetings and organizing themselves for the next few months that promise to be intense.
We also want to welcome the new Sustainability working group, which began its journey on Monday 18 with a meeting attended by 14 people. Despite the wide breath of this topic, the group is working towards the recompilation of participants´ best practices, which will underpin the future objectives of this group. As a preview, we can say that this group is using the European Grean Deal and its biodiversity and “farm to fork” strategies as a framework for the development of any future resources.
All groups will work on the objectives established internally while preparing the International Ethical Trade Forums that will take place on March 24, 2021.
We are pleased to see how the contribution of our stakeholders, among which are Agricultural Associations, Trade Unions, members of Workers’ Committees, labor inspectors and social organizations continue to be active, offering the working groups different viewpoints very appreciated, to produce valued and useful resources.
We remind you that the groups are always open to the addition of new members who can join at any time, but this year in particular since there are several groups at the beginning of their journey and are looking for collaborators.
If you are interested, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org indicating your interest, and we´ll link you up with with the corresponding group.
Hope to see you soon!
